The Chapel of San Bartolomé, part of the current Faculty of Philosophy and Arts in Córdoba, was built around 1410 as a reference point for the new settlement between the Alcázar Viejo neighbourhood and the Jewish Quarter.
This chapel, possibly built on the site of an old Jewish synagogue, was a parish church until the 17th century and despite all the transformations it has undergone since it was erected, it is one of the best examples of Gothic-Mudejar aesthetics.
The complex consists of a rectangular nave with a ribbed vault that still conserves a plinth of original tiles and plasterwork. It also has a courtyard parallel to the nave of the chapel with a façade facing the street. The façade has a pointed arch and a portico with three arches. It has recently been refurbished and can be visited.
