The Renaissance palace, once home to the Páez de Castillejo family houses this museum, regarded as one of the most complete in Spain with large funds from all periods ranging from Prehistory to the Middle Ages.
The courtyards, garden and galleries make attractive exhibition spaces holding items such as the ceramic jar from Zuheros, Roman mosaics of Cortejo Báquico and the Four Seasons, Aphrodite inclined and the Bronze Deer from Madinat al-Zahra.
